What ID docs can I upload? / What if I do not own a valid passport?


We accept most international government issued photo identity documents that contain name, date of birth and photo. The process if defaulted to passport as the preference but we can accept alternatives only in cases where a valid passport is not owned. Currently for pre-employment screening we can accept the following:

  • International Passports - excluding emergency, temporary and diplomatic passports as well as travel documents.
  • Driver's Licences - (including Provisional) that display photo, name, date of birth, issued and/or expiry dates.
  • National Identity cards - internationally formatted documents only, not domestic ID cards.
  • Travel Visas - attached to international passport.
  • National Residence Permits - internationally formatted documents only, not domestic Residence Permits.




What proof of address docs can I upload?


Proof of address documents can be a driving licence or any of the following from within the last 3 months:

  • Utility bills - from any gas, water, broadband/internet, electricity mobile or land line telephone provider that was issued within the last 3 months and displays the date of issue, name and current address.
  • Bank statements - issued within the last 3 months and displaying the date of issue, some transaction history (front page only), name and current address.
  • Tax documents - including council tax statements and letters from HMRC or other national revenue department, issued within the last 3 months and displaying the date of issue, name and current address.
  • Insurance documents - or certificates for home, contents or vehicle that was issued within the last 3 months and displays the date of issue, name and current address.




What if I don't have a valid proof of address?


If you let us know before starting anything by contacting Support using the button on email or at Support - we can configure the identity validation request accordingly. We can either use other database searches instead (i.e. electoral roll) or we can allow more flexibility with the proof of address upload (i.e. different address enabled with explanation recorded - ‘just moved’ or ‘uses family address’).




What if my identity validation link expires?

What if I have just changed my name?


Please do let us know before starting anything by contacting Support using the button on email or at Support - we can configure the identity validation request accordingly. The full legal name provided for the identity validation must match the identity document but we can enable an additional document upload. So for example, for someone who has just got married and is yet to get a new passport and driving licence, we might advise initiating the request in maiden name and providing the marriage certificate to show new / married name.
